Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia refuse to participate in the financing of a new loan to Ukraine worth 45 billion euros. The world and the European Union expect to agree on a new package of financial assistance to Ukraine. At the same time, Kyiv's total need for additional financing is estimated at approximately 70 billion euros. The remaining amount can be provided by Canada, Japan and other partners. According to the publication, the Czech Republic and Slovakia have already announced their reluctance to participate in the credit mechanism, and Hungary's refusal is expected. Bulgaria will probably join this group. German diplomats criticize the position of these countries: they want to avoid the financial risks of a loan to Ukraine, but at the same time they want to increase EU spending to support less developed regions. One of the diplomats said that European taxpayers should not provide additional funding to countries that refuse to participate in ensuring the overall security of the European Union. At the same time, the supporters of maintaining regional funds warn that aid should not be given to Ukraine at the expense of reducing the internal programs of the European Union.
