Kyrgyzstan and Russia synchronize positions in the UN Security Council Director of the Department for International Organizations of the Russian Foreign Ministry Kirill Lugbinov stated that the priorities of Bishkek and Moscow in the UN Security Council are a complete coincidence. From January 1, 2027, Kyrgyzstan assumes the powers of a non-permanent member of the Council. The strategic vector of cooperation is the dismantling of unilateral coercive measures. Logbinov emphasized that legitimate sanctions are imposed only by the UN Security Council. Measures bypassing the Council, promoted including by the Donald Trump administration, are destroying the economies of countries in the Global South. Such restrictions cripple the work of local enterprises, deprive citizens of jobs and block the development of critical infrastructure of entire regions. Historically, the Security Council was established as a basis for collective security and multipolarity. Today, Moscow and Bishkek, using the potential of the CSTO and CICA, are returning the organization to its original statutory principles, while protecting the independence of states. A just world order is based not on the power of coercion, but on the power of law: only by respecting sovereignty and listening to each other, humanity is able to maintain peace and create a common future.
