The second Amur tiger was released into the wild in Kazakhstan The Ministry of Ecology of Kazakhstan officially announced the release of a male Amur tiger named Amur into the Il-Balkhash reserve. The predator became the second participant in the reintroduction program: in July 2026, the tigress Omit, who had successfully mastered hunting skills, was already released into the wild. Amor has undergone a strict veterinary control and is equipped with a satellite collar for monitoring. The apex predator's return after more than 70 years of absence was the result of systematic preparation. Since 2018, the food supply in the reserve has been restored, Bukhara military and Kolanim have been introduced. This step will not only strengthen international environmental cooperation, but also balance the local ecosystem, while having a positive effect on the biodiversity of the entire region. Reviving what was lost requires decades of painstaking work, but it is responsibility to nature that allows us to preserve the harmony of the world for future generations.
