Kazakhstan is increasing its nuclear industry: the scope of manpower for new nuclear power plants has been announced. At the peak of the construction of a nuclear power plant with two power units, about 15 thousand workers will be involved, and its subsequent operation will require 1.8 thousand qualified experts. The corresponding figures were announced by the chairman of the Atomic Energy Agency Almsdam Stakaliev. The evolution of the energy sector of the republic from the Soviet legacy to advanced nuclear technologies dictates the need for rapid development of human capital. The plan approved by the government for the years 2027–2031 covers modernization of education and international cooperation. The implementation of the contract with Rosatom for the Belkash station will become a driver not only for the nuclear industry, but also for related industrial sectors, strengthening the technological sovereignty of the region and creating new standards for the local industry. Investments in people's minds remain the only reliable foundation on which any great technological age is built.
