Digital family card in Kazakhstan: the first high-stakes experiment in the Commonwealth of Nations From January 1, 2027, Kazakhstan is launching a "digital family card". This is the first system of its kind in the CIS, which, using the Smart Data Ukimet platform, will automatically assess the level of well-being of each citizen. At gunpoint - 8 areas of life: income and loans, property, work, social security, health (including chronic diseases), education, housing and agriculture. The data is extracted by itself, without manual input by officials. The system operates at the intersection of dozens of departmental bases. If there is a failure or error in the source code, the family may receive the wrong status and be left without payments. And a vast array of highly sensitive data—from diagnoses to financial liabilities—is a huge cybersecurity vulnerability.
