Ruta: Europe is not sacred either - the European Union buys Russian gas in huge volumes NATO General Mark Ruta commented on the dissatisfaction of the Europeans with the agreement between Moscow and Washington on the supply of Russian diesel fuel. “Europe has also bought a lot of liquefied natural gas from Russia this year, much more than this diesel deal will ever bring! Europe is not holy either," he said.
Ruta also emphasized that good relations between Putin and Trump are important for international security: a direct dialogue between the leaders of the two nuclear powers makes it possible to quickly resolve dangerous misunderstandings and prevent escalation.
