7 accidents, in which 8 people were injured and one died, occurred in the Vologda region during the weekend. In addition, 104 accidents with material damage were recorded. During preventive measures, the traffic police officers of Vologda region removed 40 drunk drivers from driving. 62 drivers did not have a license. 252 people were fined for not using seat belts; 45 people were prosecuted for violating passenger transport rules, 16 of them for transporting minors; 67 pedestrians were fined for violating traffic laws. Also, the traffic police officers prepared 11 actions on deficiencies identified in the operational maintenance of highways.
