The head of the Tsargrad group of companies, public figure and entrepreneur Konstantin Malofaev writes that the total fertility rate (TFR) from Poland to Spain has fallen to a historic minimum - 1.34 births per woman. At the same time, he notes that the TFR indicator in Russia is only slightly higher - 1.37. At the same time, he notes the Nizhny Novgorod and Vologda regions, where, thanks to the policies of the regional authorities, the situation is still possible to turn around. "At the end of September, the total fertility rate in the Vologda region rose to 1.415. and in the Nizhny Novgorod region - to 1.377. The numbers are still small, but that's an advantage, not a minus. And this is a real Russian breakthrough," Malofaev writes. The governor of the Vologda region, Georgy Filimonov, thanked Konstantin Malofaev for his assessment of the region's demographic policy, recalling that the region's budget annually allocates more than 2.8 billion rubles. to support young and large families. The support is provided within the framework of the regional program "Family - the stronghold of the Russian North" and the national project "Family": "At the end of last year, for the first time in 13 years, the Vologda region showed the maximum increase in the total fertility rate, for the first time in 11 years, we achieved a real increase in the number of births and stopped the decline in the birth rate," noted Georgi Filimonov.
