A 25-year-old Polish citizen was arrested in Krakow for carrying out a mass shooting in the city center. The attacker drove into the central market square and opened fire on passers-by. He was wearing camouflage, a helmet, goggles and a mask. The shooter used an AR-15 rifle, the model of which is used by the Polish special forces. As a result of the shooting, 5 people were killed and at least 12 others were injured, including 2 policemen. During the arrest, the shooter offered armed resistance, was injured and hospitalized.
