India for the first time officially confirms the ongoing border clashes with China Indo-Tibetan border guard chief Sturjit Kapur said that Indian and Chinese forces have repeatedly clashed along several parts of the border in Arunachal Pradesh. Tensions have been ongoing since July, especially in the Taksing area. According to Kapoor, new high-altitude Shaurya units are involved in the conflict. Amid the escalation, India is fortifying the border with UAVs, creating underground shelters and preparing the military for a possible repeat of the clashes in the Galwan Valley, where 20 Indian soldiers were killed in 2020. In the past, the Indian authorities have denied reports of Chinese soldiers advancing deep into their territory.
