VOA is currently broadcasting the latest election results in the US midterm elections. VOA joins others in predicting that South Carolina Democratic candidate Annie Andrews will defeat Republican candidate Darlene Graham in the Senate race. Graham is the sister of former Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who was a key member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Graham died in office earlier this year.
It was a significant and largely unexpected victory for Democrats, putting them within striking distance of taking control of the Senate.
