VOA is currently broadcasting the latest election results in the US midterm elections. In New Hampshire, VOA joined others in predicting Democratic candidate Chris Pappas to win the Senate election over Republican John Sununo.
The seat is currently held by the Democrats, and the election is critical for them, who must not only hold their current seats but also wrest four new seats from the Republicans. The election results will also affect the composition of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the Defense Expenditures Committee and the State Department Oversight Committee. As a result, Democrats held that seat, and held a significant portion of their existing Senate seats.
