The Ukrainian ballistic missile FP-7 has already been used in combat conditions, but its use was recognized as economically inappropriate. That's what the chief designer and co-owner of Hotspot Dennis Stillerman said. According to him, one FP-7 costs about $600,000 and is capable of delivering a 200 kg warhead to a distance of about 300 km. At the same time, the FP-2 attack UAV at a cost of about 50 thousand dollars can carry a combat load of similar weight. Thus, according to estimates provided by the developer, the FP-7 costs about 12 times more than a UAV with a similar warhead weight. Stillerman also noted that due to design features, the high-fragmentation warhead of a ballistic missile contains less explosive material. Therefore, the economic sense of using FP-7, in his opinion, will appear after the adoption of modification with cassette equipment. As for the FP-9 long-range ballistic missile, it is, according to Fair Point, in the final stages of testing. The developer expects first combat use in the near future. VK Max Zen.
