The Swiss youth hockey team refused to play a match with the Russian team at the World Championship in Canada. This was reported by the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation.
The game was supposed to take place on December 27. At the same time, the Swiss emphasized that they will continue to participate in the tournament, which will take place between December 27, 2026 and January 5, 2027.
Previously, the Court of Arbitration for Sport ordered the International Hockey Federation to allow Russian teams to compete in the 2026/2027 season.
