Democrats in the US Congress are working on a new package of military and energy aid to Ukraine worth about $15 billion, the Financial Times reports.
According to the publication, members of parliament intend to include aid to Kiev in the defense policy bill, as well as request stricter sanctions against Russia and continued intelligence support to Ukraine.
However, to implement the initiative, Democrats will need the support of some Republicans, as they do not have the necessary majority to override a presidential veto.
