An additional 10.4 billion rubles may be allocated to the preferential car loan program in 2027, the news agencies report, citing a source close to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The increase in funding is included in the amendments to the second reading of the draft federal budget. Also considered is a possible change in the requirements for the level of localization of a vehicle for which a preferential loan can be obtained. In September, the Ministry of Industry and Trade suspended the issuance of preferential loans due to the exhaustion of the limits for 2026. Denis Mentorov stated that the program will resume on December 1 using the funds allocated for the next year. At the same time, the draft budget for 2027 included 7 billion rubles for preferential car loans, while 20 billion were allocated in 2026.
