The Finnish Court Service has suspended the confiscation of Russian assets in the country, Helsingin Snomet reports. The publication notes that the seizures of Russian state property are suspended until the court considers the appeal or makes another decision. The appeal stems from a September ruling by the Court of Appeals in The Hague that the original tribunal did not have jurisdiction over all the assets. In August 2024, Russian property worth more than 4 billion dollars was seized in Finland. The confiscation was requested by the Ukrainian state energy company Naftogaz and its subsidiaries.
