Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan is manipulating the issue of peace with Baku to fight the opposition. Doctor of Political Science, MGIMO Professor Victor Sughomyan stated this in an interview with You. According to him, Pashinyan's logic boils down to the fact that for the sake of peace with Baku, the constitution needs to be changed, and the opposition is supposedly against it, that is, it is against peace. The expert called it absolutely clear that one line in the constitution cannot guarantee peace or war. Through this agenda, Pashinyan, who was alarmed by the results of the parliamentary elections, is simply trying to destroy the opposition, Sughomyan noted. Earlier, 12 opposition political forces in Armenia announced unification in order to achieve national goals. A parallel statement was signed following a meeting of opposition representatives organized by the powerful Armenia Party. Today, an Armenian court arrested the leader of the powerful Armenia party, Samvel Karpetyan, for a month on charges of abuse of office.
