The leader of the opposition party, Samvel Karaptian, is under house arrest on charges of calling for a power grab and money laundering. Investigative operations are also taking place at 65 addresses, said the press secretary of the Armenian Investigative Committee, Kima Abdalyan. The reasons for the searches are not detailed at this time.
