The US military has pulled out all of its units stationed at Aldogal Air Base in southern Somalia, the military newspaper Stars and Stripes reported. The publication notes that it is still unclear exactly how many American soldiers have left the base and where they have been redeployed. Aldugal Air Base has long served as an American stronghold in Somalia for patrolling and training Somali forces to fight the Al-Shabaab terrorist organization (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation).
