The veterans of the Northern Military District received more than three thousand sets of tailored clothing, said the chairman of the Defenders of the Fatherland Fund, Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Anna Tsybileva, Vesti reports. Such clothes were developed especially for people with disabilities, but they tried to make them modern, noted Tsibileva. "Often, those who are seriously injured, disabled and have prostheses or use wheelchairs also want to be in demand, also want to live and work actively. And we just proposed to our manufacturers that they develop not only special clothing, but that is fashionable, comfortable, modern." Participants thus received three sets: half season, winter and summer. They include 12 items each, including clothes for work, sports, walking and even for evening events. The national championship for professional skills among the disabled and those with disabilities "Abilimpics" is held in Moscow, where veterans of the Northern Military District participate.
