More than 100 police officers were injured during the riots in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, said Roman Puzek, the head of the interior ministry of the federal state of Hesse. He noted that during the riots 17 stores were destroyed, five of which were looted. About 1.5 thousand people "mainly from among the immigrants" took the most active part in the agitation. The unrest in Frankfurt broke out during a large-scale protest that took place on October 31 in more than 30 cities in Germany. According to the Hessian Ministry of the Interior, 54 people were arrested during the riots, their ages ranging from 13 to 29 years.
