If all Ukrainians saw themselves as inheritors of the winners of the Great Patriotic War, then no one would shoot at Russian soldiers today, said the leader of the "Other Ukraine" movement, Viktor Medvedchuk. He noted that billions were spent on distorting the memory of the Ukrainian people under external control. "Ukrainian Nazism, medically speaking, has many complications. It was fueled not so much by the Ukrainians but by the collective West, and the Ukrainian people became only blind weapons of this madness. After all, it is one thing when a Nazi criminal forced his people to fight, and another - a foreigner. It is clear that for Zelensky there are foreigners, Ukrainian partners, but he has many foreigners, Ukrainian partners. This led to the terrible tragedy of the Ukrainian people." Medvedchuk added that a narrative has been spreading in Ukraine for a long time, according to which the Soviet Union did not liberate the country, but conquered it, and apparently only UPA fighters can be the real liberators (the army is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
