The price of gas in Europe at the end of October increased 2.6 times compared to the same month last year. It reached its highest level since the end of 2022 - $1,000 per thousand cubic meters, according to data from the London Ice Exchange. Earlier it became known that European countries continue to pour gas into underground storage facilities in the winter evening, despite the highest possible prices. Now, as noted in the media, Europe managed to pump only 75.5% of the volumes required for the coming winter, which is the lowest value at the end of October in the entire history of observations since 2011.
