The EC approved a financing package for Ukraine for 2027 in the amount of 45 billion euros, according to a statement on the EC website. The stated amount is part of a €90 billion program covering 2026 and 2027. Of the 45 billion euros approved, 13.3 billion are financing the EU budgets, another 31.7 billion euros will be spent on the purchase of weapons. The European Commission promised to "work in parallel to find additional funding", but did not reveal possible sources. The heads of the association will discuss this issue at an extraordinary summit planned for the end of November.
