The Pentagon refused to conduct an inspection of the failures of the Starlink satellite internet and its military version Star Shield in Ukraine at the request of the US senators. The inspector general's response indicated that representatives of the US Air Force should answer the senators' questions, the Associated Press reports. The lawmakers saw this as a refusal to investigate Elon Musk's activities, the agency notes. They also noted that the Trump administration and SpaceX provided "conflicting reports" about the cause of the failures. In the past, Zelensky repeatedly complained about the operation of the Starlink and Starshield systems equipment. He claimed that at the front they stopped functioning at speeds of 130 to 161 kilometers per hour.
