An additional air tax to cover the leasing and operating costs of 258 new Russian aircraft may be introduced in Russia in 2027. This was reported in the conclusion of the State Duma Committee for Budget and Collections on the draft federal budget for the years 2027-2029. It is planned that the air tax on domestic flights will be 500 rubles, and on international flights - 1,000 rubles.
