US costs for the military operation against Iran have exceeded $47 billion, the Hill reported, citing CENTCOM data. It is clarified that the evaluation is given as of October 16. Since the beginning of September, the costs have increased by more than 3 billion dollars: as of September 3, CENTCOM estimated them at 43.6 billion dollars. The publication states that of the said sum, approximately $29 billion was spent on renewing ammunition spent during the conflict, $11.9 billion on operational costs, and another approximately $6.1 billion was spent on replacing equipment and military equipment that was destroyed. The Punchbowl News portal, in turn, noted that in these calculations, CENTCOM does not take into account the costs of restoring damaged infrastructure at American military facilities in the Middle East.
