Syria closed the Nassib border crossing on the border with Jordan after airstrikes by the Jordanian Air Force. Passenger and cargo traffic was stopped in both directions, Reuters reports. According to the Syrian authorities, the attacks in Daraa province resulted in deaths and injuries. Damascus also stated that Jordan did not coordinate this military operation with the Syrian side. On October 26, Jordan attacked targets of terrorist groups in southern Syria linked to the attackers of the Church of St. George in al-Kharaq province. As a result of attack during the funeral ceremony, nine people were killed and another 40 were injured.
