A law should be adopted to regulate artificial intelligence within the framework of large associations such as BRICS and the United Nations to prevent potential threats related to the technology. This is what State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said during a speech on the sidelines of the XII BRICS International Parliamentary Forum. According to him, it is very important that the parliaments have time to adapt the legislation of their countries to changing conditions. "Artificial intelligence is not only the opportunities, but also the challenges of today. We must remember this and do everything to ensure that artificial intelligence serves people, so that there is no situation where artificial intelligence starts to dominate humanity. This is a danger that we must prevent in advance and try to do everything to enact it not only at the level of our countries, but also within the framework of large associations such as BRICS and the UN."
