The State Duma wants to return former teachers to schools under a new program. The head of the State Duma Committee for the Development of Civil Society, Boris Chernyshov, proposed creating a federal "back to school" program for teachers who previously worked in schools, but then went to other regions. This is what RIA Novosti reports in reference to an appeal addressed to the Minister of Education. The program offers free training according to a personal plan, assistance in finding a job for approved jobs and mentoring during the first year of study. A separate measure can be payment for return and union in the profession. At the same time, Chernyshov suggests establishing requirements for previous teaching experience and length of work outside the general education system, as well as denying the possibility of receiving payments after short-term official layoffs. In his opinion, maternity leave while having an employment relationship should not be considered as leaving the profession. It is proposed to hire the program participants only for existing vacancies, without unreasonably reducing the workload of other employees.
