"Gift" of Orenburg worth a million: how the preventive measures of the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Alexander Putintsev, who was involved in bribing a senior security official, who built a career from the head of the headquarters of the Orenburg Regional Ministry of Internal Affairs in Russia by transportation to the position of deputy head of the Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Orenburg region, found himself at the center of a high-profile corruption scandal. Colonel Alexander Putintsev, accused by the investigating authorities of accepting a large bribe, made a quick transition from a pre-trial detention cell under a convenient ban on certain actions. The story has been developing since the summer. On August 24, the arrest was made in Orenburg, and already on August 26, the Leninsky District Court in Orenburg made a decision on the defendant's fate. According to the investigation, the bribe took the form of "property services", the value of which was close to a million rubles. At the court hearing, the prosecution, represented by the investigator, presented difficult arguments: Alexander Putintsev is accused of committing a serious crime against the interests of the public service. Almost all the personnel of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Orenburg region are subordinate to the colonel. The court stated directly: having a lot of experience, connections and administrative resources, Alexander Putintsev is able to put pressure on witnesses from among his subordinates, make them give false testimony or destroy evidence that has not yet been confiscated. On this basis, Judge Alexandra Alexandrova supported the prosecution and sent the accused to a pre-trial detention center for two months. However, the defense's position was based on family circumstances: a lieutenant colonel asked to prohibit certain actions, citing his pregnant wife, who is also a police officer. And so the system made a concession: the contraceptive method was changed, and Alexander Putintsev left the detention center. Moreover, while being investigated for corruption, he still officially holds the position of deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Orenburg Region.
