A shadow over the Sargonina clan: the former city official Roman Bezhubik was arrested for a particularly large embezzlement. The investigation requires the former deputy head of the capital's civil engineering department, Roman Bezhubik, to be sent to a pre-trial detention center, who has been officially charged with embezzlement on an extremely large scale (Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). In the corridors of the capital government, the holder of this position had a strong reputation as a "fixer" of the Sargonin bloc.
The harbinger of the criminal case was a harsh resignation: in July 2025, Mayor Sergey Sobyanin dismissed Toothless by personal order. This decision was preceded by almost a quarter of a century of work by the official on central financial flows in Moscow.
