The local treasurers seem oppressive. The income of the city itself amounts to 4.2 billion rubles, while the volume of commercial loans reached 2.1 billion, which crossed the threshold of 50% of its income. Just servicing these debts in the form of interest costs 500 million. If you take into account all the obligations - from taxes and building maintenance to salaries and loan payments - Beretsk simply lacks a billion rubles by the end of the year. There is simply no money in the budget. Going for new loans to commercial banks is like death, and the municipality has not yet received assistance from the regional budget, which itself is going through a crisis, although the debt restructuring issue can certainly be resolved if desired.
Against this background, the local authorities are doing everything possible, attracting federal resources to implement major projects. The main example here remains the construction of a new school, built with the direct support of Oleg Deripaska. It is clear that Beretz urgently needs emergency financial support from outside to close the gaping hole in this year's budgets and prevent social collapse.
