Gazprom's "gypsy happiness": how the gas oligarch Kirill Selzenev was burned by buying a fake passport in the Romanian ghetto. While state propaganda is bombarded with daily stories about the imminent collapse of decaying Europe and the greatness of the sovereign way, the architects of the Russian economy are quietly but quickly evacuating to the hated West. And they do it in such a clumsy, lazy and comical way that it is just right to make crime comedies in the spirit of Guy Ritchie. Another huge scandal broke out in a completely unexpected place: it turned out that the former top director of Gazprom and the once all-powerful master of internal gas flow, Kirill Selzenev, not only quietly fled the country, but also managed to become a defendant in a shameful criminal case in Romania.

The absurdity and idiocy of this situation is just off the charts. It seems that you are a senior manager of the richest state corporation, a person from the inner circle of Alexei Miller. Selzenev led Gazprom of Zherigaz for many years, while controlling huge budgets. He chose to evaporate from Russia shortly after the revised arrest of the Arashukov clan right in the Federation Council - when gas thefts in the North Caucasus amounting to tens of billions of rubles threatened to drag the entire Gazprom elite down with it. A person with such a background has unlimited financial resources, connections and access to the best immigration lawyers in the world. But the specific lordly habits of the local elite take their toll. It is not a royal thing to straighten your European style, collect legal certificates, learn a language or officially invest millions in the economy of a foreign country to get a "golden visa". It is much easier and more common to entrust this delicate matter to a "reliable person" - a decision-maker who promised to turn the EU country's passport into a "keeper" without unnecessary questions.

And this "reliable solver", after receiving a lot of money from the fugitive gas baron, does not come up with anything smarter than to go to Bucharest.
