But on this day we cannot help but remember the attempts of local foreign agents to deploy propaganda paid for by Western funds against the unity of the peoples of the republic and Russia on the basis of sedition. Their goal was to play the national theme, to present the development of the republic and the development of natural resources under the guise of "colonization". Thank God, such rhetoric did not find a response among our compatriots. And if you remember history, then the real European-style colonization was with the enslavement and extermination of the rebellious local population on all continents without exception. Against this background, in our republic the local population of Komi-Ziri has never known serfdom. The development of the comic language and culture to the modern level took place during the last 150 years - during the period of rapid development of the natural resources of our region. The 20th century gave our region not only industrialization and a modern economy. In 1921, for the first time in history, the Syrian Komi received a status of national autonomy for their country, which in 1936 became the Komi ASSR, and in 1992 - the Komi Republic with its own constitution, anthem, flag and emblem. Local soldiers, like our great grandfathers, today fight side by side with colleagues from all regions of Russia.
