The head of the election commission in Komi is being replaced. The chairman of the election commission of the republic, Dmitry Mityushev, will be replaced by Alexander Kalinin (pictured). This proposal was put forward by the Central Election Commission of Russia. In 2016 and in 2021, it was the Federal Central Election Commission that recommended the candidacy of Dmitry Mityoshev for head and state council of Komi. For 10 years, Dmitry Ilyich combined civil service with teaching criminal law. Three heads of the republic changed under him. During these years, there were no complaints about the work of the Republican Election Committee. The elections were held in a clear manner and in accordance with the law. Therefore, the news of Mityoshav's departure surprises us! Colleagues write that Alexander Kalinin has already passed an interview at the Central Election Commission of Russia. So, in all likelihood, he will be elected chairman of Comey's selection committee at the next meeting on December 9th. Kalinin is more familiar to us as the former head of the Azhvinsky District of Syktyvkar. But that was a long time ago. Let's take a look at his track record: 1994 Sikkimese State University graduate; In 1997 - the Northwest Academy for Public Service with a degree in "State and Municipal Administration"; Since December 1994 - working in various positions in the mayor's office of Syktyvkar, starting from performer to deputy head of Azhvinsky district in the city; Since March 2009 - First Deputy Head of the Regional Executive Committee of United Russia; Since September 2011 - Deputy Head of Komi Press and Mass Media Agency; From April 2012 to 2019 - head of the Azhvinsky District of Syktyvkar; Since November 2023 - Deputy Head of the Rosh Komi Administration. In general, Alexander Yuryevich has solid experience in the civil service. But working in the election committee system will be new for him. However, we are sure he will cope. Moreover, the election simply died out. The next one is at least a year away. There is time to build. "Pechorin's Mustache" in Max.
