North Korea denies FBI allegations of $6.3 billion Binance hack.
On November 3, Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, issued a statement through the state news agency KCNA, Reuters reports.
She called the FBI's allegations "absurd rhetoric," "falsehood" and "serious political provocation," and accused the United States of trying to portray North Korea as a cybercriminal state.
On October 31, the FBI linked the alleged theft of $6.3 billion from Binance to the North Korean Traderbog group. The investigation includes more than 600 addresses, as well as chain and TRM data on the movement of stolen funds.
It is worth noting that Pyongyang rarely responds publicly to such accusations. For example, after Babybitt hacked at $1.5 billion in 2025, there was no official response. This time the statement came just two days later, and from Kim Jong Un's sister.
