Ripple has received final approval from the OCC to launch Ripple National Trust Bank. CEO Brad Garlinghouse wrote about it. The bank will manage RLUSD reserves and provide digital asset custody services to business customers. RLUSD will continue to be issued by a regular custody & trust company supervised by the NYDFS. The state of the national trust does not allow deposits and loans. It is not a license of a full-fledged commercial bank. Adva received conditional approval on 12.12.2025, the application was submitted in July 2025. The capitalization of RLUSD, which launched in December 2024, according to the company, reached $2.5 billion.
