The fight against banned books cost 100 million rubles, according to the head of the Red Gorod - Bookbud network, Alexander Brychkin, sellers are forced to remove books from the shelves at their own expense, return them to warehouses, transport and dispose of them. No compensation is given for these expenses. He drew attention to the opacity of exams that reveal forbidden propaganda in literature. Brychkin suggested introducing verification of the results of such studies and a clear procedure for reporting tests. The list of books in the industry that do not meet the new standards includes more than 2,500 titles. Among them are articles by Mayakovsky and Lenin "Donkey Bridge".
