Tests of a new generation spacecraft have begun in Russia.
Russia is developing a promising transport ship of the new generation (PTK NP). The developers have already moved to extensive autonomous testing. The ship enters the preparation phase for flight tests. Test cosmonaut Mark Serov talked about it.
The cosmonaut clarified that models and experimental facilities of the spacecraft are already being assembled.

The mission of the ship will be an expedition: it was developed for the lunar program and is intended to fly around the moon or fly to asteroids.
In June, Roscosmos presented a draft plan for the development of lunar and asteroid resources. Among other things, the company proposed to build a nuclear power plant on the moon by 2036. The plan also includes exploring the moon with robotic spacecraft and delivering soil samples to Earth.
