Rules of a wise woman.
So, my dear, when you get old...
1. You never want to lecture anyone.
Even if you know for sure that you are right. Remember how it pissed you off at the time. And did you follow the advice of your elders?
2. Do not try to help unless asked to do so.
Don't force yourself on anyone. Do not try to protect your loved ones from all the disasters of the world. just love them.
3. Don't complain!
Don't become a grumpy old woman on a bench in the entrance.
4. Do not expect gratitude from your children.
Remember: there are no ungrateful children. There are foolish parents who expect gratitude from their children.
5. Don't say phrases like: "I'm your age... ", "I gave you my best years... ", "I'm older, so I know better... ".
6. If you have grandchildren, don't insist that they call you by your first name and not by your grandmother.
It's stupid.
7. Don't waste your last buck on anti-aging procedures.
It's pointless. Better to spend it on travel.
8. Don't look at yourself in the mirror and don't put on makeup in a dark room.
Don't flatter yourself. and try to look as elegant as possible. It's elegant, not young. Trust me, it will be better that way.
9. Take care of your man, even if he has become a wrinkled, helpless, grumpy old man.
Don't forget that once he was young, strong and cheerful. And for sure, he is one of the few who remember you as young, thin and beautiful. And maybe he's the only one who really needs you right now.
10. Do not try to keep up with the times at any cost: understand new technologies, obsessively follow the news, constantly learn something new so as not to "be behind in life".
It's funny. Do what you like.
11. Don't blame yourself for anything.
No matter how your life or your children's lives turned out, you did everything you could.
12. Keep your dignity in any situation.
to the end! Try, my dear, it's very important. And remember, if you're still alive, that means someone needs it.
