You might wake up one day and realize that you've been waiting all your life for something special, while the most precious thing happened right before your eyes.

We tend to think that true awakening comes through a great shock, a fateful encounter, or a sudden insight. But most of the time, we just don't pay attention to life because we are too busy trying to change it: we look for happiness in the future, scroll past and forget about the only moment when we can really feel something - the present.

But life is hidden in the little things: in the hand of a loved one, the smell of the rain, the rays of the sun on the wall, in a calm breath after a long day. We consider it normal, until one day we realize that our life included just such moments.

Awakening is not when you start seeing something extraordinary, but when you stop walking past what has always been there. Try today, at least for a few minutes, to stop rushing somewhere and really feel the moment you are in. Maybe you don't have to find a way to live. Maybe you just haven't noticed for too long that you're already alive.
