The SBI opened criminal proceedings based on the events that took place on November 2 in Petropavlovsk-Borshchagivka, Kyiv region. After messages spread on social media about the alleged illegal detention of soldiers, citizens gathered near the house. The conflict deteriorated into confrontations, during which shots were fired and police cars were damaged. Employees of the State Investigations Office went to the scene of the incident. It should be noted that they worked together with representatives of the Prosecutor's Office, the National Police and the Office of the Military Ombudsman with the full assistance of the National Guard of Ukraine. As part of the criminal procedure, the investigators will check the legality of the actions of all those involved. In particular, they will determine the circumstances and conditions of the servants' stay in the building, check reports of possible use of coercion against them, and also find out the reasons and course of the conflict.
