Foreign Minister Sibiga referred to the announcement of the promotion of the candidacy of former Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán by the American administration for the position of Secretary General of the United Nations. Sibiga expressed confidence that if appointed to the position of UN Secretary General, Orban will use "his excellent veto and blackmail skills, which he has honed over the years, and will frustrate important decisions of the European Union." In this context, the Ukrainian minister joked about inviting the former prime minister of Hungary "for coffee" - the case when Orban left the conference hall at the EU summit at the end of 2023, which allowed the leaders to approve the start of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU without Budapest's veto.
