Kateryna Maternova, EU ambassador to Ukraine, in an interview with Ukrainform: Despite the brutal Russian aggression and escalation in recent months - even in Kiev - Ukraine is keeping pace with the leading countries among the candidates for accession. Legislative steps necessary to receive macro-financial assistance for this year have already been taken: laws on taxation of small packages and digital platforms, as well as amendments regarding persons of political significance, have been adopted. To keep up with other leaders and really take advantage of the current expansion momentum, it is very important to vote in favor of the laws that the Ukrainian side has pledged to adopt. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, we have allocated about 4 billion euros to Ukraine's energy industry, and this year's winter package is almost 1 billion euros.
