Poland is preparing to tighten the rules for obtaining citizenship. The required period of stay in Poland will be extended, the language proficiency threshold will be raised to B2, and a mandatory test on the country's history and culture will be introduced. In addition, candidates will be required to provide proof of tax residency, submit documentation of their income and swear allegiance to the Republic.
