Poroshynskyi, a member of Ukraine's armed forces, stated that after the end of the war, military personnel would not be willing to return to service for a monthly salary of less than 100,000 hryvnias. According to his estimate, paying the salaries of an army of only 800,000 soldiers will require approximately 23 billion dollars a year. Furthermore, the total cost of maintaining such an army would amount to at least $50 billion a year.
