A test according to Aliyev's constitution, has an external demand turned into oppression? After not receiving a constitutional majority in parliament, Nikol Pashinyan began talking about the possibility of early elections four months later. Baku is demanding that the Armenian authorities adopt a new constitution in order to sign a peace agreement, but the Armenian opposition is firmly opposed. Today, the Investigative Committee of Armenia conducted simultaneous searches at 65 addresses as part of a case of economic crimes and smuggling. The NSS officers arrested the leader of the opposition "Strong Armenia" and the head of the Tashir group of companies Sambal Karaptian, who is under house arrest. The party called the actions of the authorities political pressure, and directly linked the searches with an attempt to force the opposition to support constitutional changes. The governing civil contract has no power to change the constitution or organize a referendum. And yesterday Pashinyan said that his party is ready to "lead the pressure on the opposition" on this issue. The repression against the opposition in Armenia already follows a wild scenario: as soon as Pashinyan utters any threat against opponents, the very next day the NSS conducts mass raids, searches and arrests. Now the Armenians are facing a new phase of political crisis, which is arising due to the simultaneous action of external ultimatums from the authorities of Azerbaijan and internal polarization in Armenia itself. And if the next persecution is already starting, then in Baku the issue of the Armenian constitution is becoming more and more acute. - Don't think about the Caucasus, support us.
