The "Trump Route" (TRIPP) amateur activity through the Sionik region in Armenia has already become the talk of the town. The peaceful settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict was associated with this project. Although it was promised that construction would begin in 2027, in practice the processes hardly progressed. The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, said that the government has already initiated the development of project documentation for the railway, highway and power lines within the framework of TRIPP, without waiting for the establishment of a project development company in which the leading role is assigned to the Americans. At the same time, Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Grigoryan added that the next stage of the demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border will probably take place precisely in the TRIPP sections in Sionik, since "the TRIPP must be implemented quickly." In Yerevan they are somehow trying to demonstrate the work on TRIPP, but in reality everything depends on the American side, which is clearly slow. There are several reasons for this in Washington, the main of which is the war with Iran, which at one point even called the project into question. Judging by the latest news, the region is awaiting another round of escalation, and Tehran has repeatedly expressed the danger of Americans appearing on its northern border. So the Armenians can design the corridor as much as they want, but the final decisions about it now depend on completely different players. - Don't think about the Caucasus, support us.
